Online tuition offer flexibility. You can do tuition classes from anywhere, from your home, to your workplace, to your gym, to public places if your internet connection and weather permits. It might not provide the complete same accuracy as the teacher being physically there by your side but for most exercises it is over 90% correct, especially individual patterns, form correction, hard conditioning and strength exercises, visual supervision will let you have the right form. As for sparring and sensitivity drills, it will have to be observed physically, but a strong foundation in the rest contributes a lot to functional performance.
It is a great way for us to spread the love for Kung Fu to everywhere in the world. Far apart we are, our hearts are as one. We share the same passion, the same identity, the same art and belong to the same brotherhood. We encourage online learners to prepare questions to ask, and take down notes, to ensure the class is of the best quality. We believe that with the advantage of video conferencing, we will be able to raise the standards of our Kung Fu practitioners.
As usual, Kung Fu is a lifestyle; we encourage learners who wish to embark on their Kung Fu journey through online tuition to arrange their work, family and social life schedule to fit in regular weekly lessons. Kung Fu is something that is close to the heart and meant to be practiced for a lifetime, rather than temporary fun experience like a holiday trip or social event. The student should practice on their own what is taught, no matter where they live in, no matter where the teacher is residing in.

How to Learn Well From Online Kung Fu Classes
Online classes is suitable for passionate learners from outside Singapore, or for learners within Singapore who either live too far from our training location or have work or school schedules that does not allow them to attend our classes.
There are lots of advantages for online classes. Forms can be taught. Techniques can be taught in detail. You can practice in the comfort and privacy of your home or even your workplace.
There are two modes of online lessons. The first will be through direct video chat, through Facebook messenger, Skype, Whatsapp or Facetime. You will need a training area at home that is at least 4m(13ft) long and wide. Also, you will need a good webcam, a screen big enough for you to see my demonstrations clearly, a good microphone and a good internet connection. You will also need to arrange a time with me if you're in another timezone in the world, for example, California is 15 hours behind Singapore, so 7pm for someone in California will be 10am for me, and 6am for them will be 9pm for me. Classes are 1 hour standard. I will not end the lesson later than 10pm so you still need to plan your time properly!
The second option is to learn from pre-recorded lessons, which I will upload to you. You will practice it on your own time, and on your second or third practice session, record a video of you going through the techniques and exercises, and any other techniques or exercises I request you to show me, and upload that video for me. I will assess that video, and when I pass you for that session, I will send you the next lesson. Recorded lessons are 30min standard.
This option is very helpful for people who don't have enough space in their house, or don't have enough hardware for video chats. You can record your video in a public park or in your backyard where you don't have internet connection. We can see each other even if we are not online at the same time, so this is very useful for people with odd working hours or are living in a timezone which I am always sleeping when they're free.
We are living in the internet era and we should make full use of it. I even strongly recommend online training to students in Singapore, because the convenience makes them want to train more than once a week, and the sessions are short and cuts out commute time. You can even combine both modes of online learning. One can have up to four 30min sessions a week with no hassle.
Many people are content being weekend warriors. It is up to us to aspire to be more, to be high quality Kung Fu practitioners, who can prove our might with action, who can compete with other fighters.
