Qi Gong (气功) is the internal power or internal energy of a trained Kung Fu Practitioner. Qi Gong consist of special breathing techniques, mental focusing, pressure points that heal, specific ways of exercising the body. To a layman "Qi" (气) can be explain as an invisible energy within the body, and Qi Gong is an exercise of body inner strength, through Qi Gong’s practice that use abdominal breathing (childhood breathing) with intention. The series of designated movement facilitate inner energy to travel throughout the entire body including internal organs. As a result it enhances blood circulation, promotes metabolism, improve health and help to provide food and oxygen to the body, thus the inner energy also make the strikes & blocks of trained Practitioner much more powerful. In Combat or in Training traditional Kung Fu Practitioner with execute every move with the help of Qi Gong. In self defence situation striking the enemy with blow accompanied with Qi Gong will have disastrous effect on the enemy's body, capable of fracturing bones or severely damaging the inner organs with a single blow.
